Beauty, culture and community education came together in Dublin during the first Miss & Mrs Cross Continent pageant.
Twenty-four women from seven countries participated in the programme, which was attended by approximately 450 guests at the Church of Scientology & Community Centre.
The pageant was organised by Miss & Mrs Cross Continent Events Ltd., with support from Broccoli Care Ltd. and cooperation from The Truth About Drugs Ireland.
Drug education formed an important part of the event, with guided exhibition tours introducing eu news uk visitors to information about commonly used drugs. Some participants completed all fourteen educational modules, demonstrating that their preparation went beyond the traditional pageant format.
Cllr. Francis Timmons, Mayor of South Dublin, spoke during the programme about the importance of bringing communities together through education.
The afternoon also included Irish, Indian and Indonesian dance performances, reflecting the international character of the gathering.
The principal title was awarded to Niveditha Vudayagiri, a software engineer who holds a master’s degree in AI. The other leading awards went to Fortunate Lindokuhle Masina and Yuki Yuliatin.
